Hey there, it’s Christa!
Glimpses Inside the Writer-y Life

Welcome to my little corner of the Internet, everyone.
I’ve been making up stories for a living since 1998. Fueled by fever dreams and cold brew, I spend an inordinate number of hours in front of my MacBook working on my freelance articles and novels.
My latest is titled The Honorary Italians. The story of a motley crew of Minnesotans who decide to cook and eat their way through all 20 regions of Italy without leaving the Land of 10,000 Lakes, it’s a total escape that shouldn’t be read on an empty stomach. Consider yourself warned.
For more updates on when The Honorary Italians will be available in a store near you, make sure to subscribe to my newsletter and check out my Instagram feed for what’s inspiring me at the moment. Chances are, you’ll catch my latest travel adventures and whatever I’ve been cooking and baking.
Thanks for stopping by,
Christa

15 Books I Loved in 2023
We've officially reached the list-y time of the year. You know the one where everyone from the The New York Times, to Entertainment Weekly, to your favorite blogger (raises hand!) compiles a best-of list of books, TV shows, movies, you name it...
A Book Lover’s Tour of NYC
One of my favorite parts of wandering around New York City—aside from the sheer thrill of people-watching, admiring how so many buildings, locals, and tourists co-exist on an island, and stumbling across new coffee shops—is reveling in all the book-loving goodness.
Scenes From a Book Club
As much as I adore books, you'd think I would've hosted a book club by now. But until last Thursday night, that wasn't the case. It's an idea I've batted around in my head for a while, sure...
