After enjoying a myriad of delightful summer-y beach reads the past couple of months, I've been in the mood for thrillers lately. And boy have they ever delivered! I've been turning the pages at warp speed.
Ever walk into a room and instantly feel like you belong? That's how I felt the first time I walked into Shakespeare and Co. in 2010. And then again in 2015. Eight years later (!!!), I waited in line and didn't mind one bit.
Ok, so it's not officially summer, but it already feels that way in DFW. Right on schedule the humidity has arrived, along with thunderstorms galore. Before long, the temps will reach triple digits with no turning back until October. But you know what makes this sauna-esque season not quite so bad? Air conditioning. And books.
If you've been hanging around here for long, it's no secret that I LOVE books. I read them. I write them. I buy way too many of them. Let's just say my TBR pile is always out of control.
Now that my Goodreads goal is set for 2023 (!!!), it doesn't feel right not to mention a few of the novels I loved in 2022. With no further adieu, here are my sixteen favorites in no particular order.
