Since Christmas and my birthday are a mere eight days apart, it’s no surprise my TBR, which includes another shelf of hardbacks (not pictured) multiplies considerably.
Apparently my love of books isn’t exactly a secret to my family and friends. Thank goodness for that. 😊
I’m finishing up my last holiday selection, the delightfully escapist The Holiday Cottage by Sarah Morgan before diving into our January book club selection The Best Life Book Club by Sheila Roberts.
After that is? Anyone’s guess as I’m looking forward to, well, all of them.
A friend of mine asked me the other day how I find the books I read. And that got me thinking…there is no one place.
Sometimes it’s a publisher’s e-newsletter where I recently stumbled upon a description that completely hooked me with Kate Fagan’s The Three Lives of Cate Kay. Other times it’s during a routine visit to a favorite bookstore where I rarely leave without something new or a title I leave on a list for an upcoming holiday. My Amazon algorithm also has my “taste” nailed as well as ads that pop up on my Instagram and Goodreads.
How about you? Where do you find out about new books and new authors? What makes you want to buy a book or bookmark it to check out at the library?
