Welcome to the humble cyber abode of novelist, freelance writer and movie critic Christa A. Banister. Yep, that's me getting ready to make a Scrabble move there. As you can probably guess, I'm a lover of words...

In fact, that's been the case ever since I read (ok, more like devoured) my first Judy Blume book in third grade (it was Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing that did it). I figured that if Judy could make up stories for a living (and even get paid for it, too), that's exactly what I wanted to pursue.

So after four years of journalism training, the obligatory internships, paying my dues and the like, I've been doing just that in various capacities for the past 10 years and lovin' every minute of it.
