Welcome to the humble cyber abode of novelist, freelance writer and movie, music and book critic Christa A. Banister. Yep, that's me getting ready to make a Scrabble move there. As you can probably guess, I love words.

In fact, that's been the case ever since I read (ok, more like devoured) my first Judy Blume book in third grade. And I figured that if Judy got paid to make up stories for a living, that's exactly what I wanted to pursue.

So after four years of journalism training, the obligatory internships, paying my dues and the like, I've been doing just that in various capacities for the past 12 years and lovin' every minute of it.
